The Convict Trail Project is delighted to announce it has received a 2019-2021 NSW Community Heritage Grant to update the brown placename signs we have installed along the Great North Road. This sign updating project is proudly funded by the NSW Government.
Currently the brown placename signs are 20 years old and many are in urgent need of refurbishment. The two cream signs at Bucketty and Murrays Run, installed by the Bucketty and Wollombi communities, are even older and the text is disappearing off the signs.
